Dr. Walter Klages, a Tampa Bay economist, says local economy is on the rebound "As far as the tourism industry is concerned- we're doing fine." Dr. Klages points out that the key part of the Bay Area economy is already on the rebound. Hotel rooms are full and the prices of those rooms are also on the rise. Tampa Bay now leads the nation in some of those key indicators of the health of the tourism industry.
